Opotiki District Council Uses KOLUSH Garden Mulch

Opotiki District Council shared these wonderful photos on its Facebook page of a project completed in August 2018 to replant and tidy many of the community's gardens running along council land boundaries and intersections.

Take a look at some of the wonderful photos from the busy planting days here...

"Staff swapped keyboards for shovels yesterday to tackle some outdoor community mahi – no doubt there are a few sore muscles in the office today! The Whakatōhea Health team kicked off the day with garden planting along their shared boundary with the Moody St carpark. Council staff then took on the task of replanting the gardens around the intersection of Church and Elliot Streets. Over 650 native plants went in, (200 at the Moody St Carpark and 450 at the Elliot/ Church St intersection) and we hope everyone enjoys them and the tidier appearance of these areas."
